Geophysics; regional geology and tectonics; mineralogy, petrology, and geochemistry; paleoclimate and paleontology; geological aspects of oceanography and water chemistry; mineral physics and materials science.Cooperative programs with the Program in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and the joint Program in Water Resources are offered; see separate interdepartmental listings. Students with backgrounds in earth science, chemistry, physics, materials science, or related disciplines are welcome to apply.
