Program Information
Degree Offered
MPS - Dance/Movement Therapy
Format: Campus
Program Description:
The program provides a synthesis of creative, aesthetic, and psychotherapeutic theory. Courses present a thorough theoretical framework which is then translated into personal and practical application through an experiential process. Artwork and/or movement is done in every class and used to directly learn therapeutic skills. Students focus on a wide variety of populations and, accordingly, are required to work with a different population each of the two years. Both programs are for students who want a broad body of skills, balanced with a strong theoretical framework.
Accreditation:
The program is accredited by the American Dance Therapy Association.
