Program Information

Degree Offered

Information Systems Engineering

Format: Campus

Program Description:

Most of the infrastructure for today’s enterprise information systems is already in place. Unfortunately, incompatible software and protocols often separate applications on networked systems. What’s missing are information systems engineers who can pull the components together for the seamless delivery of holistic systems.

NYU-Poly’s MS in Information Systems Engineering (ISE) Executive Program aims to fill that gap. Established in 1987 as a joint program between the Department of Computer and Information Science and New York State’s Center for Advanced Technology in Telecommunications (CATT), the program has a long history of success. Intended for professionals with 2 or more years of working experience in the computing or telecommunications industries, it produces leaders who can design, develop, and run information systems that draw on the latest software, middleware, and technologies.

That education isn’t as effective without complementary training in management, though. Information systems engineers must also know how to guide the efforts of the teams that design new or improve existing systems. With this in mind, we’ve included courses on decision-making, leadership, and other management topics.

Our program is also convenient: classes meet every other weekend for 2 full days (Friday and Saturday) at NYU-Poly’s Westchester Graduate Center. All classes are videotaped, with the videos available for viewing at home or on campus. Better yet, an all-inclusive fee covers tuition, fees, textbooks, and other educational materials, as well as the taped class videos and meals (breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks) on class days.
