Format: Campus

Program Description:

Plymouth State's master's programs in educational leadership are designed to prepare educators for a variety of leadership and administrative opportunities in public and private school settings. With a School Principal concentration, you can focus your program on developing the tools and experience you need to become an elementary, middle, or high school principal. From honing your communication skills to understanding the impact of law on policy development to delving into school finance and negotiation, you'll gain from this program the capacity to bring about positive changes in schools.
The curriculum consists of 36 credits. Fifteen credits come from a master's core component of classes; eighteen credits prepare you specifically for your future role as a school principal. A capstone experience at the end of your studies serves as a culmination of your work and allows you to put theory to practice in a practicum setting.
To be eligible for certification in the state of New Hampshire, you must have at least three years of teaching experience upon the completion of your program.

Accreditation:

This program is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

Eligibility Requirements:

Either the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) or the GRE is required for admission into this program.

International Student Requirements:

International School Principal students must have proof of English level proficiency through either the TOEFL, IELTS, or ELS Level 112 scores. In addition, you must provide an I-134 Affidavit of Financial Support Form. Documents, including bank statements and other financial documents dated within the past 30 days, that confirm you have the financial resources to study for a year at Plymouth State must be submitted to the College of Graduate Studies. You must also include a copy of your valid passport with your application materials.
