Program Description:

Plymouth State University's Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Educational Leadership will allow you to build upon your experience and develop your leadership skills. Here you will develop the skills, methodologies, and experiences necessary to excel as a leader in education. Your program of study is built on a foundation of educational theory, policy, analysis, systems theory, collaborative leadership, and strategic planning.
As a CAGS candidate, you'll explore contemporary issues in education and you can design your program of study to obtain certification in areas such as curriculum administration, reading and writing specialist, school principal, school psychologist, special education administration, or superintendent of schools. Or, you may concentrate your studies into areas such as arts, leadership, and learning; counselor education and school psychology; the neurodevelopmental approach to teaching; or you may self-design a program to match your personal and professional interests and goals.

Plymouth State University's CAGS program is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the National Council of Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

International Student Requirements:

International CAGS students must have proof of English level proficiency through either the TOEFL, IELTS, or ELS Level 112 scores. In addition, you must provide an I-134 Affidavit of Financial Support Form. Documents, including bank statements and other financial documents dated within the past 30 days, that confirm you have the financial resources to study for a year at Plymouth State must be submitted to the College of Graduate Studies. You must also include a copy of your valid passport with your application materials. Finally, you must also submit official, notarized transcripts, verifying that you've completed at least a baccalaureate degree, which must be translated into English and evaluated for institutional equivalency.
