Program Description:

The aim of this program is to encourage and equip teachers to be reflective, scholarly practitioners. Coursework combines solid grounding in pedagogy with instructional practices and content knowledge.Completion of the program results in an MAT degree in secondary education and a Georgia Level 5certificate in one of these fields: English, mathematics, broad field social sciences, or broad field science.The program offers two tracks: Fifth-Year,and Initial Certification. The M.A. degree is for certified teachers seeking Advanced Certification in Secondary Education in math, English, broad field science, or broad field social science.
