Program Description:

The most senior textile design program in the United States features the integration of creative design and technology under the guidance of a world-class faculty. Philadelphia University provides textile design students with the unique opportunity not only to design, but also to produce finished works in our facilities. (The University's facilities include the most complete computer-aided textile design equipment available in a university setting and the latest manufacturing and design equipment in the industry.) Lecture and studio sessions allow students to gain increasingly advanced knowledge of the technical and design aspects of knit, weave and print mediums. This program allows graduates from fiber arts backgrounds and other related art disciplines to expand their design skills through a greater understanding of textile materials and technology.
