Program Description:
The M.S. in Sustainable Design at Philadelphia University was developed by a group of the country’s top sustainability practitioners and experienced sustainability professors. The result is an award-winning program that fuses design and industry. The curriculum transcends disciplines and cultures with respect to the interconnected nature and constant evolution of sustainable practice. Students build problem-solving skills to develop market-driven innovations and to be leaders in economic, environmental, and societal sustainability for the 21st century global community.
Our faculty is made of practicing professionals with diverse backgrounds in architecture, engineering, design and construction management. Based on integrated design education, the program offers a unique advantage by immediately introducing students to experts, design options and real-world challenges. They must quantify and build their ideas in a collaborative environment; actualization of projects can range from small prototypes to full-scale working structures for non-profits and community groups.
