Program Description:

Penn State's online master of education (M.Ed.) degree program in educational leadership—teacher leadership option can help you maximize your leadership skills in your current teaching position while you prepare for potential new roles, such as lead teacher, mentor teacher, or department head. If you want to continue teaching in the classroom as you take on a new leadership role in your school, this program is for you.

The curriculum for this 30-credit program is presented through four tiers of coursework leading to a final capstone project. Course topics include learning theory, teacher leadership, teacher inquiry, and curriculum design.
