MBA- Strategic Management
Program Description:
The Strategic Management track under the Management concentration prepares students for careers in leadership and management in all fields of business. This highly focused track prepares you as a business manager and leader recognizing the needs, wants and desires of the corporation in addressing their markets. It trains the student to anticipate needs, changes in the market and the interactions in the global socio-economic climate in which we all work.
Our curriculum gives you real-world skills strategic management through the guidance of seasoned and accomplished faculty. Our faculty members are established leaders in their fields and also bring extensive industry experience to the classroom. Both theory and its real-world application are taught for both domestic and global markets.
The topics addressed include:
Strategic Thinking and Portfolio Theory
The strategic impact of various domestic, national and international government institutions
Formulating strategic responses to external and internal perturbations
Short-term vs. Long-term planning
Strategic approaches to Human Resource Management
Leadership and Strategic Planning/Policy Deployment/Performance Measurement and Strategic Information Management
The strategic drivers for excellence
The e-Business strategic issues facing the traditional enterprise
These are a few of the topics discussed encompassing many industries. In addition, the faculty will demonstrate real-world methodologies to address the problems encountered.
The Strategic Management track does not address one field, as there are far too many. Rather the faculty will address the theory and by application and case study demonstrate the constructs using real-world examples.
Accreditation:
National Accreditation - Pace University is chartered by the Regents of the State of New York and accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. AACSB Accreditation - The Lubin School's baccalaureate, master's and doctoral degree programs in business, as well as the accounting program, are accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the premier accrediting organization for business schools in the world. Fewer than three percent of business schools internationally have this dual accreditation from AACSB.Memberships - The Lubin School is also an active member in the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), and the Latin American Council of Schools of Business Administration (CLADEA).
Eligibility Requirements:
A U.S. bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree from a foreign school is the preferred undergraduate degree requirement for admission into the program. In addition to a resume, a personal statement, a GMAT score report and two recommendations, applicants must submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities they have attended. A recent TOEFL score no more than two years old, is required of all applicants whose native language is not English or who did not receive a bachelor's or master's degree from a U.S. institution. Recommended application deadlines are August 1 for the fall entry term and December 1 for the spring entry term.
