MBA- Strategic Management

Program Description:

The Strategic Management track under the Management concentration prepares students for careers in leadership and management in all fields of business. This highly focused track prepares you as a business manager and leader recognizing the needs, wants and desires of the corporation in addressing their markets. It trains the student to anticipate needs, changes in the market and the interactions in the global socio-economic climate in which we all work.

Our curriculum gives you real-world skills strategic management through the guidance of seasoned and accomplished faculty. Our faculty members are established leaders in their fields and also bring extensive industry experience to the classroom. Both theory and its real-world application are taught for both domestic and global markets.

The topics addressed include:
Strategic Thinking and Portfolio Theory
The strategic impact of various domestic, national and international government institutions
Formulating strategic responses to external and internal perturbations
Short-term vs. Long-term planning
Strategic approaches to Human Resource Management
Leadership and Strategic Planning/Policy Deployment/Performance Measurement and Strategic Information Management
The strategic drivers for excellence
The e-Business strategic issues facing the traditional enterprise

These are a few of the topics discussed encompassing many industries. In addition, the faculty will demonstrate real-world methodologies to address the problems encountered.

The Strategic Management track does not address one field, as there are far too many. Rather the faculty will address the theory and by application and case study demonstrate the constructs using real-world examples.
