Program Description:

The MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience is an exciting, programme at Oxford Brookes which comprises the study of biological substrates underlying cognition, and focuses on the neural substrates of mental processes and their behavioural manifestations.
It addresses the questions of how cognitive functions are produced by neural circuitry which feeds into brain structures. Cognitive Neuroscience unifies and overlaps with a number of sub-disciplines such as cognitive psychology, psychobiology, neurobiology and neuropsychology.
The course is of benefit to those wishing to pursue research careers in psychology, as well as to practicing clinicians in health-related fields who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the relevance of cognitive neuroscience to their discipline, and to those wishing to pursue training in clinical psychology. In addition, for the talented student this course provides an excellent training for a PhD.
Postgraduate psychology students needing advice on sourcing information have the support of a dedicated subject librarian who can offer in-depth knowledge and training on a wide range of electronic and paper resources and give advice on searching tips. As an Oxford Brookes postgraduate psychology student you will also have access to Oxford University's Bodleian Library.
You will also be able to make use of a specialist laboratory for studies involving high-density EEG and ERP and a purpose-built video observation laboratory complete with one-way mirrors and remotely controlled cameras.
Full time overseas fees £10,710. International scholarships available. Accommodation guaranteed.
