Program Description:
In a rapidly globalising world, lawyers, business people, government officials and those involved in a variety of other fields are expected to look beyond national jurisdictions and understand issues of international law.
The field of international law is broad, encompassing issues ranging from war and peace, United Nations, and international crime to questions relating to international trade and finance. The LLM in International Law provides you with the opportunity to combine the study of these diverse aspects of international law, preparing you for a career in a variety of fields.
One of suite of LLM programmes offered by the Law Department at Oxford Brookes, the LLM in International Law draws students from around the world, providing you with the opportunity to explore the international issues of the day in a truly international environment.
Research is fundamental to our range of LLM programmes, and here at Oxford Brookes University we encourage our students to become involved. Oxford attracts high calibre researchers and academics from all over the world as well as those closer to home, so you will have the opportunity to regularly attend seminars and lectures given by visiting speakers who are recognised world experts in the field of law.
The university library has an impressive range of legal holdings covering UK, European and international material, and a dedicated law librarian. You will also have access to the University of Oxford's Bodleian Law Library. Full time overseas fees ££10,710. International scholarships available. Accommodation guaranteed.

International Student Requirements:
If your first language is not English, we will require proof that you have a sufficient command of the English language: a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, or TOEFL scores of 575 (paper-based), 232 (computer-based) or 89 (internet-based). Applicants with an IELTS score of 5.5 (or its TOEFL equivalent) may be eligible for entry to the LLM with Pre-Master’s programme.
