Program Description:
Ottawa University's Master of Arts in Professional Counseling program is a minimum of 60 semester credit hours, consisting of a 36 semester credit hour core, and 24 semester credit hours in a concentration area. The concentrations are designed to meet the educational requirements in the State of Arizona for licensure.
The Master of Arts in Professional Counseling program is designed to accommodate the learning methods, goals, and lifestyles of working adults who have a variety of obligations. Theory and research are followed by extensive discussion and application of the material studied, including Practicum (300 contact hours) and Internship (600 contact hours) requirements.
A co-operative program in Christian Counseling, and a concentration in Substance Abuse Counseling (in conjunction with Ottawa University's Master of Arts in Human Resources program) are available.
