Program Description:

The Department of Microbiology offers graduate programs leading to the Master of Science, Master of Arts, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Major fields of study are diverse and include basic and applied aspects of virology and bacteriology; immunology and pathogenic microbiology; and environmental andapplied microbiology. Students may minor in a variety of related disciplines in the life sciences, as in other refined environmental and agricultural sciences. Integrated minors are often selected in order to allow students to develop a program that best serves their needs.
