Program Description:
Atmospheric Sciences are concerned with the dynamics, physics and chemistry of atmospheric phenomena and processes, including the interactions of the atmosphere with soil physics, hydrology and oceanic circulation. Graduate research is available in these areas of faculty expertise: atmospheric radiation and remote sensing, aerosol and cloud chemistry and physics, planetary atmospheres, air-sea interactions, climate, statistical meteorology, and turbulence and convection. Atmospheric Sciences applicants should have an undergraduate degree in physics, mathematics, engineering, chemistry, atmospheric sciences, or related fields with strength in mathematics.
