Program Description:
The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering offers graduate work leading to the Master of Science, Master of Ocean Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. The MS and PhD degrees offer concentrations in construction engineering management (master's degree only), environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering (soil mechanics and foundation engineering), ocean engineering (fall quarter entry only), structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering (hydraulics, hydrology, planning, management), and interdisciplinary areas. For the MS degree, a thesis is required in some areas, optional in others. Areas of concentration can be combined to form anintegrated civil engineering MS program or MS and PhD minors. A unique Master of Ocean Engineering degree is also available.
