Program Description:

The Department of Philosophy offers a Masters Degree in Philosophy. Most areas of philosophy are represented, with particular strengths in ethics (both applied and theoretical), the history of philosophy, and American philosophy. Both thesis and non- thesis options are available as well as a program of study specializing in applied ethics. Because of our excellent student- teacher ratio, graduate students enjoy small seminar sizes, individualized guidance, and easy access to the faculty. Many of our students continue on to Ph.D. programs, some to law school, and some directly into teaching.
