Program Description:

The Department of Psychology offers the Doctor of Philosophy degree in two programs, clinical psychology and life span developmental/experimental psychology.The program in clinical psychology, accredited by the American-Psychological Association (APA), is based on the scientist-practitioner model. The program emphasizes the development of knowledge and skills in basic psychology, clinical theory, assessment and treatment procedures, and research. Practical, coursework, and internship are selected to enhance the student's interests. The student may choose to specialize in clinical child, behavioral medicine/health psychology or general clinical.
