Through research and scholarship in nurse anesthesia and related fields like physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and anatomy, you will be encouraged to exemplify excellence in educational leadership and professional involvement. You will work with a variety of client populations spanning the continuum of human health states and life spans, practicing in diverse locations and health care systems. After 28 months of full-time study, you will be prepared to take the Council of Certification of Nurse Anesthetists certification examination, leading to the designation of CRNA.
Our MSN in Nurse Anesthesia segues easily into our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.
For those already holding a MSN, we also offer a post-master's certificate in nurse anesthesia. This full-time program prepares nurses as specialists in anesthesia care. Clinical core and speciality courses, including clinical internships, are the same as the MSN nurse anesthesia program.
