Program Description:

The PhD in Education: Educational Leadership program trains you to assume professional leadership roles in the field of education. You will be prepared to lead public and private schools and districts; manage programs and functions in higher education institutions; and conduct research on and teach educational policy and practice. Core concepts explored in the program include systems thinking, the leadership capacity and roles of all staff, the application of theory to practice, database management and grounded theory. We offer both a K-12 cognate and a Higher Education cognate in the doctoral program.
We also offer an Education Specialist in Leadership program, recognized by the state of Michigan as a principal preparation program; a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership; a M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership; a post-master's certificate in Education Administration; and a post-master's certificate in Higher Education.
