Program Description:
The Master of Arts in Biology is a non-thesis masters program that has a larger course component, but a lesser research component, than the Master of Science in Biology program. If you wish to teach at the secondary or community college level--or you hold a full-time job and want to pursue advanced study in biology--the Master of Arts in Biology is the appropriate program for you. If you are looking for a more research-based program, or plan to continue on to doctoral work in biology, check out our MS in Biology.
