Program Description:
The program blends the study of contemporary theories with the study of literary and culturaltraditions from throughout the French and Francophone world. Students benefit from a wide array of interdisciplinary resources (which include the outstanding Africana collection) and from close contact with experts in both a particular literary field and a related discipline (women's studies, film, art history, philosophy, comparative literature, or cultural studies, for example).
