Master of Laws (LL.M.)The one-year general master of laws (LLM) program at Northwestern University School of Law offers outstanding graduates of foreign law schools an opportunity to expand their knowledge of American law and legal processes, continue their studies in international law, and engage in comparative legal research. Northwestern University also offers a 12 month program in Law and Business. Joint Program in Law and Business (LL.M. and Certificate in Management)Designed for business lawyers educated outside the United States, the Graduate Program in Law and Businessoffers you a unique opportunity to study both business law and management techniques at two of America'sleading schools in the fields of law and business, Northwestern University's School of Law and J.L. KelloggGraduate School of Management. The intensive 12-month curriculum consists of upper-level course work atboth schools. Doctor of Juridicial Science (SJ.D.)The SJD degree program is restricted to students who have had substantial experience either in practicing or teaching law and who have given evidence of their scholarship and capacity for advanced graduate work.
