Program Description:
The graduate nursing program prepares nurses to function in rural health settings in advanced nursing practice and/or as a family nurse practitioner. Graduates are prepared to assume leadership/management, education, and family nurse practitioner roles in rural areas. The curriculum focuses on increasing students' skills in working with culturally diverse populations. Graduates who complete the family nurse practitioner component of the program will be eligible for certification in Arizona, application for prescribing and dispensing privileges in Arizona, and application for national certification as an FNP.12-cr. hr. certificate program prepares you to assume the role of case manager in acute care and community settings.
