Program Description:
The M.Ed. in Elementary Education is a 36-hour extended coursework degree, or a 36-hour thesis plan degree to enhance teaching skills in grades K-8. The M.Ed in Elementary Education offers advanced courses in teaching methods, curriculum and related areas. Northern Arizona University also offers a 46-hour non-thesis M.Ed in Elementary Education with a Certification Emphasis. This terminal Master's degree leads to an Institutional Recommendation for Elementary Teacher Certification in the State of Arizona.
