Program Description:

Anthropology graduate students gain valuable fieldwork experience, use state-of-the-art labs and work with world-renowned NAU faculty.
Our Anthropology programs are designed to move students into the expanding nonacademic job market as well as accelerate studies for students who want to continue into graduate work.
Master's students choose between research or applied anthropological tracks. The research track focuses on developing original, individual research while the applied track is practitioner-oriented. The students also choose an emphasis archaeology, linguistics, or sociocultural anthropology.
NAU's MA in Anthropology offers intensive computer training, strong faculty support, individualized study, and training for current job market challenges. "NAU Anthropology builds M. A.'s who can write, speak, compute, and do applied and research work in Archaeology, Cultural and Linguistic Anthropology." --Francis E.
