Program Information

Degree Offered

M.S. in Technological Entrepreneurship, Certificate in Technological Entrepreneurship

Program Description:

Successful technological entrepreneurs know how to relate to people with different types of knowledge and experience. One program goal is to teach the art of collaboration, which is key to turning new technology into marketable products and services. This is the only truly interdisciplinary master's degree program for technological entrepreneurship in the United States.

Technological entrepreneurship involves the intersection of technology development (science and engineering) and business creation (management and business). STE offers both undergraduate and graduate programs that teach students how to build business plans, market science- and engineering-based products and obtain the financing to start a technology-based business. We cover important topics you must know to survive and thrive in the technology-based business world, including intellectual property rights, licensing and product development strategies. Classes are team-taught by faculty members from the colleges of Engineering, Business Administration, Computer and Information Science and Bouve College of Health Sciences, giving you the varied perspectives you need to compete in today's market.

Technological Entrepreneurship certificate program is designed for professionals with college degrees or current graduate students interested in corporate venturing or developing a freestanding start-up.
