Program Description:
Niagara University's School Counseling program prepares graduate students to become School Counselors at the Elementary, Middle or Secondary level. The master's degree consists of 36 credit hours and leads to an M.S.Ed. in School Counseling and eligibility for provisional certification by the state of New York as a School Counselor and the CAS (certificate of advanced study) program consists of an additional 24 credit hours that combined with 2 years of experience as a full-time school counselor leads to permanent certification by the state of New York as a School Counselor.
