Master of Landscape Architecture

U.S. News & World Report cited landscape architecture as a high-potential career in the United States. Learn about the field at the only MLA program offered south of Los Angeles County and north of Mexico City.
You’ll develop a deep understanding of the environmental, social, and emotional aspects of landscape architectural design, gain the tools you need to make a vision reality, and leave ready to make an impact in landscape architecture, urban redevelopment, park design, community planning, ecological redevelopment, and many other areas.
The program typically requires three years of full-time study to complete and offers a wide range of elective courses.
Accreditation:
NewSchool of Architecture & Design is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award bachelors degrees and masters degrees. In the United States, most state registration boards require a degree from an accredited professional degree program as a prerequisite for licensure. The National Architectural Accrediting Board, which is the sole agency authorized to accredit U.S. professional degree programs in architecture, recognizes 3 types of degrees: the Bachelor of Architecture, the Master of Architecture, and the Doctor of Architecture. A program may be granted a 6-year, 3-year, or 2-year term of accreditation, depending on the extent of its conformance with established educational standards. Doctor of Architecture & Master of Architecture degree programs may consist of a pre-professional undergraduate degree and a professional graduate, however, the pre-professional degree is not, by itself, recognized as an accredited degree. Next Accreditation: 2016
