Archaeology at Newcastle University has a long and distinguished international reputation for its research and teaching, and has outstanding resources.

In recent years we have achieved considerable success in our research and have a thriving postgraduate community. Our postgraduates enjoy a research environment in which ambitious and original ideas can flourish, and they take part in the School's research seminar series and annual postgraduate conference. Applicants whose first language is not English require IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 90 (Internet-based) or 577 (paper-based), or equivalent. INTO Newcastle University can provide extra tuition to help you meet our English language requirements.
