Program Description:
The Graduate Division of the Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts offers a concentrated three-year course of study integrating theory and practice in an effort to develop individual creative filmmaking potential. The M.F.A. program provides detailed instruction and practical experience in the various aspects of filmmaking, including writing, directing, acting, cinematography, editing, and sound recording and mixing. It also seeks to educate students in the workings of the industry and the demands of a career in film. The graduate program is offered at Tisch School of the Arts in New York City as well as at Tisch's Asia location in Singapore.
