Program Description:

Opportunities for educators of adults in both academic and organizational settings are immense. Individuals who have strong business content combined with an understanding of adult learning, instructional design and delivery, curriculum, and research have important roles to play in the education of the nation's workforce. The Business Education program at NYU Steinhardt provides a pathway to developing an understanding of the changing nature of the workforce and appropriate educational solutions. Our flexible 36-point master's program includes opportunities to develop competencies for roles related to needs assessment, instructional design, teaching and learning strategies, and evaluation. Opportunities also exist for in-depth study in educational technologies and management practices. Our master's program is the only one in the country that focuses on the global issues of workplace education by creating a dialogue between the educational and the business communities. The Certificate of Advanced Study degree program in Business Education is most appropriate for students with master's degrees in related fields who desire further credits for personal or professional development. The Post-B.A. Advanced Certificate Program in Workplace Learning provides learning opportunities for workplace training professionals to study in an integrated curriculum that has immediate applicability to their professional responsibilities.
