Program Description:
In the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University, each master's student works closely with a faculty adviser to create an individualized, interdisciplinary program shaped according to his or her own unique interests. Students take courses throughout NYU's graduate and professional schools and also have the option to draw on the resources of NYU and New York City by including internships, independent studies, and private lessons in the arts into their tailor-made programs. The program culminates in a master's thesis that may be in the form of a research paper, artistic work, or professional project.
