Program Description:

The Department of Pathology offers programs of study leading to M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. They focus on thecomprehensive study of the pathogenesis of human disease because this knowledge and the ability to apply it iscritical to the ultimate prevention and cure of all diseases. The educational program is designed to fosteranalytical problem-solving within the wide range of the basic medical sciences. Particular emphasis is laid on thefundamental disciplines of cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry and immunology. This multidisciplinaryapproach is central to the Department's educational and research focus.
