Accelerating developments in the media during the past two centuries have resulted in an ever-wideningdissemination of ideas and information, which have so radically reshaped our culture and society that thephrase "revolution in communication" has become a perpetual reality. This ongoing reconfiguration of our liveshas also generated a new and rapidly expanding field of intellectual scholarship and professional training,which, at NYIT, is centered within the Department of Communication Arts and the School of Arts, Sciencesand Communication. Our interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Communication Arts program offers a wide varietyof theoretical and career-oriented curricula designed to meet the needs and interests of each student. Within thisprogram, students are encouraged to elect an area of specialization.
