Program Description:
The Department of Mathematical Sciences offers graduate instruction leading to the Master of Science, Professional Master's in Financial Mathematics, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Areas of study include, but are not limited to, pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, and mathematics education. Students may also pursue an interdisciplinary program of study.
International Student Requirements:
International applicants submitting foreign post-secondary level transcripts are required to have their credentials evaluated by a recognized member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). NMSU requires a comprehensive course by course evaluation. In addition, international students must submit an English language proficiency exam (either TOEFL or IELTS.)
