Program Description:

The Department of Government offers two degrees: the Master of Arts (M.A.) in government and the Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.). The programs are designed to prepare students both for diverse careers in the public sector and for further training at the doctoral level. The M.P.A. program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA), a distinction held by fewer than one-quarter of M.P.A. programs nationwide.
