Program Description:
The Civil Engineering Department offers excellent opportunities for advanced study and professional training in several fields leading to the M.S.C.E. and the Ph.D. degrees. Among the currently active areas are environmental (sanitary, hazardous, and unit operations/processes); geotechnical (earth dams, foundations, and highways); hydrology (surface and ground water, erosion and sediment transport); hydraulics (open channel and structures); structural mechanics (with particular interest in bridges) and structural design.
