Program Description:

The Graduate Certificate in Crisis Management and Business Continuity is recommended for anyone who is involved or interested in all the phases that occur in the Emergency Preparedness process: planning, training, mitigating, detecting, alerting, responding, recovering, evaluating, and improving. The program focuses on the business side of emergency management with emphasis on emergencies in organizations, their impact on individuals, and the information and communication systems that support emergency management. With one of the nation's largest schools of computer science education, NJIT has been awarded the Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Information Assurance Education designation by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In addition, NJIT has been designated as the leader of the New Jersey Homeland Security Technology Systems Center, advising state law enforcement agencies and private organizations on emergency preparedness and homeland security matters. Award of the certificate requires the successful completion of 12 credits with an overall cumulative grade of "B" or better.
