Degree Offered
Master of Science in Sport and Entertainment Management
Format: Campus
Program Description:
Neumann University's graduate program in Sport and
Entertainment Management is an 18-month, online program which leads to a master’s degree (M.S.). It provides flexibility, personal access to faculty members, and opportunities to network with other graduate students. “A master's degree in sport and entertainment management can provide the credential that you need to increase your earning potential or prepare you for an exciting career change,” explains Andrea Pent, associate professor of sport management.
Professional competence is developed through a comprehensive business and sport management curriculum and demonstrated through required experiential opportunities. To provide flexibility and accommodate working students, courses are offered in an accelerated format (seven and a half weeks per course) and delivered fully online, providing students with small class sizes and personal attention from faculty.
The program is designed to be consistent with and reflective of the University's mission statement. In the delivery of the program, professionals are prepared according to both Franciscan ideals which shape the curriculum and to the standards of the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA) which meet the growing challenges of an ever-expanding industry. Neumann is among the first five universities in the country to receive COSMA accreditation.
