Program Description:

In recent years, breakthrough in the life sciences, biology in particular, have revolutionized scientists’ understanding of the relationship between organisms and their environment. At the same time there has been an ever-increasing awareness, on the part of both scientists and the general public, of the importance of environmental management and preservation. These two trends- revolutionary breakthroughs in the life science and a growing concern with environmental preservation-have resulted in the emergence of the new discipline of bioenvironmental science.
