Program Description:
In order to develop professional leadership in public administration, MPA students at the Monterey Institute have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and skills in nonprofit governance, general management, organizational marketing, strategic planning, program development, financial management, policy analysis and managerial problem solving. During their studies, students develop a comprehensive understanding of the complex political, legal and competitive environments within which nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations must function. Students are prepared to assume a broad range of leadership positions in the fields of philanthropy, voluntarism, civil society development, private sector management and human development.
