Program Description:
Students enrolled in the graduate program at MSU-Bozeman College of Nursing will have the opportunity to elect an area of concentration in teaching and/or administration, if desired. Students planning a career in academia take a total of nine elective credits in preparation for teaching in a nursing education program. Students planning a career in administration take a total of nine elective credits to prepare them for positions in nursing administration. These graduate courses are also available to nurses with a BSN who are not currently enrolled in the graduate program, but are interested in taking such coursework for personal enrichment or professional advancement.These courses are open to students in both the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) options of the nursing graduate program. Making these areas of concentration available better meets the needs of prospective students by preparing them to have an additional area of expertise that fits their individual career goals.
