Degree Offered

M.Ed., elementary and secondary leadership (superintendency), Ed.D., elementary, secondary, and central office leadership, and at the Educational Specialist level in elementary and secondary leadership, Principal: this option is for students who already hold a Masters Degree. Upon completion of required coursework, successful candidates will be eligible for endorsement as a K-12 principal in Montana. Students selecting this option take only those courses required for principal certification.

Program Description:

Nationally accredited graduate education cohort programs, designed to prepare school leaders, are available through the Master's program in elementary and secondary leadership (superintendency), at the Doctoral level in elementary, secondary, and central office leadership, and at the Educational Specialist level in elementary and secondary leadership. Additionally, we offer cohort programs of study specifically designed to prepare Native American school leaders and rural school leaders.

Accreditation:

The Teacher Education Program is accredited by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC), as are the graduate level programs for the preparation of elementary and high school principals, and superintendents.
