Program Description:

The graduate program in Geology at Montana State University-Bozeman provides a rigorous pre-professional education and research experience in one of the finest "natural laboratories" in the world. Recent graduates have investigated snowfall at the neighborhood (x km) scale, syn-tectonic conglomerates, groundwater recharge in Tertiary basins, and the interaction of the descending Farallon Plate with the rising Yellowstone Hot Spot. We seek self-motivated students with an interest in hypothesis testing in ideal field settings.
