Program Description:
This program is an established three semester course of study that has been in existence since 1975. The focus of the program is educating nurse practitioners in primary care. All faculty are nationally certified as nurse practitioners. Classes are scheduled on campus one day per week and clinical placement is scheduled geographically near the student's residence. Area of emphasis includes: Family Nurse Practitioner. The Post masters option of three semesters leads to a Nurse Practitioner certificate. Graduates of both options are eligible to sit for national certification in their specialty.
