Program Description:

Mississippi State University is pleased to offer a new doctoral degree which provides advanced training in economic science to prepare graduates for research and teaching positions in academics, government, and business. The distinguishing feature of the new degree is an innovative curriculum which includes courses in the "applied economic skills" demanded by those who hire professional economists. The Ph.D. in Applied Economics is a cooperative program offered by the Graduate Economics Faculty of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the College of Business and Industry.
