M.S. - Environmental Policy
Format: Campus
Program Description:
Students in Michigan Techs Master of Science in Environmental Policy program gain skills in policy analysis and collaboration with a wide variety of groups, as well as an understanding of socio-environmental systems. Graduates of this interdisciplinary program are now environmental policy specialists in corporations, government agencies, consulting firms, and private nongovernmental organizations. Others have gone on to PhD and law degree programs at top universities around the U.S. The program offers an innovative approach to environmental management through the collaboration of faculty in ecology, engineering, economics, other social sciences, and forest resources. It is distinctive for its training in citizen participation and its interdisciplinary emphasis. Our program is small and focused, which permits us to be flexible and to work intensively with each of our graduate students. Our students have done theses and projects on a wide variety of innovative environmental and sustainability initiatives.
