Program Description:
The M.A., M.S. and Ph.D. programs in Geology provide opportunities for coursework and research in a broad range of sub-disciplines, including geomicrobiology, geomorphology, geophysics, hydrogeology, igneous petrology, isotope geochemistry, low-temperature geochemistry, mineralogy and crystallography, mineral surface geochemistry, paleontology, sedimentology and stratigraphy, seismology, structural geology, tectonics, and volcanology. Graduate student support includes Teaching and Research Assistantships with competitive stipends, tuition and fee waivers, support for field or laboratory research, support for conference presentations, and other special opportunities.
