Program Description:

Each year, 145 students begin their careers in pharmacy here. The average age of our entering class is 24. The percentage of students who are women has increased in recent years to ~70 percent. The minority enrollment is typically between 20 and 30 percent, and international student enrollment between 5 and 10 percent. Over 90% of the student body is drawn from outside the metropolitan Atlanta area; Georgia residents comprise approximately half of students enrolled. Mercer attracts students from all over the U.S. and world. This diversity is another indication of excellence, reputation, and of honored tradition at Mercer University.

The Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Student Affairs and Admissions Office does not evaluate transcripts from outside the United States. If coursework has been earned in a foreign country, the following procedure is required: In order for the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Student Affairs and Admissions Office to determine whether the courses taken in a foreign country can be used to fulfill prerequisite courses, foreign transcripts must be reviewed or evaluated by a regionally-accredited undergraduate college or university in the U.S. We cannot and will not review either foreign transcripts nor transcript evaluations from evaluation services. We can and will only review an American college / university transcript that includes the courses transferred from the foreign institution.
